Access Arrangement!

Dear All:
Candidates:

  • Who have permanent physical disabilities.
  • who suffer from medical conditions.
  • who suffer from temporary injuries.

That affect performance at the time of the examinations can apply in advance for an Access Arrangement.
The intention behind the access arrangement is to meet the particular needs of the disabled candidates without affecting the integrity of the examination.

Access arrangements may include:

  • An extra time allowance.
  • Readers.
  • Modified question papers.

Candidates are required to submit requests for Access Arrangements to Mrs. Ola Hamed at school maximum by Sunday 15 December 2014.

Required documents: (All documents MUST be in English):
  • Medical report in English language stamped and signed explaining the case of the candidate and the required assistance.
  • A written consent from the student or his parents (in English language) with clear wording of what to be done and the type of assistance needed.
  • Statement of any access arrangements already made before.

IT PRACTICAL PAPERS' INSTRUCTIONS NOVEMBER 2013 SESSION

Kindly note that the IT Practical Papers 0417/02& 03 are scheduled on the following dates: - Friday 11th of Oct, paper 0417/02
- Friday 18th of Oct, paper 0417/03
The examinations will be held in one Location, as follows:

STUDENTS will sit for their exams in Second session from 12.30 pm. to 3.00 pm
Exam day instructions:
- Students should arrive at their examination venue not later than 11.45am
- Parents are not allowed on premises at all times during the examinations.
- Students arriving to the examination venue out of their school uniform will not be permitted to sit for the examinations under any circumstances.
- No Mobiles phones are allowed into the examination hall or laboratories during practical examinations.
- Candidates may be disqualified from the examination session if they fail to comply with CAMBRIDGE regulations.

Exam Venue:

All your written examinations will be held at:
The British School of Egypt,

Starting time:

The morning session will start at 11.00 a.m. and the afternoon sessionat 3.00 p.m. unless it is mentioned otherwise in your Cairo Final timetable 2013. You are expected to be present half an hour before the scheduled start time.

Clashes:

Candidates with clashes on their timetable should check daily the noticeboard for further instructions concerning clashes for each specific examination. All instructions will be clearly displayed on the Examinations Noticeboard. Science practical, Art, Speaking, IT & Listening examinations: Please check with your school the separate instructions for practical (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Art, Speaking, IT and listening examinations.

Exam day instructions:

- No candidate will be allowed to leave before the end of the examination session.
- Candidates are not allowed to take from the examination room used examination papers.
- NO MOBILE PHONES are allowed into the examination hall or at laboratories during practical examinations.
- Candidates may be disqualified from the examination session if they do not abide by CIE rules.
- The British Council is not responsible for handbags and valuables left unattended. Please make itpoint not to bring such things with you.
- The replacement of a lost Identification Card (ID) will cost LE 50.
- Parents are not allowed on premises at all times during the examinations.
- You are NOT allowed to come to the examination venue except with your full school uniform (any type of hats or caps is not permitted).
- Students arriving at the venue out of their school uniform will not be permitted to sit for the examinations under any circumstances.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING WITH YOU:

- Candidate Identification card and Statement of Entry.
- Transparent pencil case.
- Your writing materials, geometrical instruments and simple calculators.
- A small bottle of mineral water.
